OilPure Water
Sensor
Technology
Description and How It Works
The OilPure water sensor is designed to detect media (light sludge) interfaces
and level of water in oil. A low-power heater is used to produce a temperature
differential varies as a function of fluid thermal conductivity for level
and interface measurement.
Control circuit converts the sensing
element's temperature differential into an analog DC voltage signal. Dual
comparison monitor the sensing element signal and activate relay alarm
circuits if the signal exceeds an adjustable set point value.

OilPure water sensor can detect free water from 5,000 ppm to 10,000 ppm
in oil reservoir. These water sensors are not designed to read water content
in the oil reservoir.
There
are two different water sensors available:

Total
Integrated Water Dehydration System and Oil Purification System
(Excellent for Turbine Generator in power plant)

System
Operation
- Water sensor can detect free water
from 5,000 to 10,000 ppm in oil reservoir and automatically drains free
water from oil reservoir on an on-off continuous basis. If there is
excessive water breakdown, water sensor will send warning alarm signal
maintenance staff to take proper action.
- Vacuum jet dehydrator unit continuously
removes dissolved water from 10,000 ppm down to less than 100 ppm.
- Oil purifier unit with PurePack process
(chemical treatment) to remove solid particulate down to ISO code 15/12
to 13/10 oil cleanliness and oxidation by-products , which cause high
Total Acid Number (TAN) and oil deterioration.
- Improve RBOT (Rotating Bomb Oxidation
Test, ASTM: D-2272) result.
